August 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:32 pm
If you look at the profile of this ride, it sure seems like the inside of a sharks mouth! As you ride out of town and onto Thrift Rd, you will be greeted by a pretty fast downhill, so be careful, but more importantly, enjoy it while you can since it’s sharply up and down the rest of the ride. At the end of Thrift Rd it a quick right onto Wolftown Hood Rd. But before you turn off this road, be sure to glance to your right and take note of Early Mountain Vineyard, they’re a site sponsor is its one of the best places to sample wines in the area.
As you make your way down Willis Rd, you will be presented with some pretty stunning views of Blue Ridge Mountains. As you proceed onto Shelby Rd and up to the Rt. 29 crossing you will be greeted by a short steep hill. Then it’s mostly downhill through Annie’s Rd, but don’t worry its another kicker up Repton Mill Rd. The steep hills and fast downhills continue the rest of the route until your safely back at the Rt 29 crossing and its few pedal strokes back to the parking lot. Now go grab a beer, you deserve it.
Please note that the downloadable/printable Cue Sheets are available below (under the OTHER heading), but you can grab the cue sheet here as well.
