Brightwood Store ‘BLT’ Ride

This is a great ride for when you are just hankering for a GREAT BLT sandwich. In the early spring and late fall many of the local cyclists use this ride as it features a stop at Brightwood General Store, which is known for having one of the best BLTs around.

This ride starts from Bike Stop, Culpeper’s own bike shop, and rolls out of town on 522.  Once off 522 and after a few miles you will be greeted with the Gibson Mill, which is a short steep hill up to the Mt. Run Lake.  The only other notable hill on the route is on Duncan Trail which again is just a short steep kicker, but once over Duncan Trail its clear sailing all the way to get your BLT.
